Rope Fashion Show
We're expanding our Rope Clothing Exhibit to a Rope Fashion Show this year!
If you'd like to show off your rope skills and turn a model into a work of art, contact us. The show will be held on Friday in the early evening so you can take as long as you like to get ready prior to the festival opening.
Models will be on display in the Art Gallery for a half hour after the show.
"Fine Art to F#%k On" Photo Op
Red iris is the first in a series of seven larger than life flowers, and their intimate harmony with the feminine form. Their sensual shape so alluring, their fragrance so intoxicating, their beauty so seductive. The perfect match! Flower power is an interactive series where the buyer ultimately becomes the artist finishing the piece with their own erotic creativity.

Artist Michael Kin never learned to sculpt, it was just something he did. It was intuitive, it was natural. Sculpting for him is a moving meditation where stillness finds him. What is a common theme in all of Michael's work is the spiral or vortex. Not only has it been his trademark for the last thirty years it is his attempt to share a spiritual experience that was beyond words.
Photographer Robert Kerr will be taking photos of guests at/on the “Fine Art to Fuck On.” He is a new photographer who is doing erotic and fetish work, and has previously done work at RKS. Prints will be available for purchase as mementos of the Event. Proceeds will go to support future REAF events.

The REAF exhibit in the 2012 Rochester Pride Parade was a big hit, so we're giving you a photo op of your own. Bring your cameras and snap your picture as a Beautiful Work of Art.
If you bring your camera (or camera phone) be sure to read our Photo Policy! We respect the wishes of people who do not want their picture taken at REAF.

Henna "Mehendi" Demonstration
Henna is the common name for the plant lawsonia inermis and has been used as a natural dye throughout history in many cultures. The henna paste is derived from the leaves of the plant which is ground to a fine powder and then mixed with various liquids, such as lemon juice and essential oils, to achieve the desired consistency. Most commonly it was a ceremonial ritual marking a bride’s passage into womanhood for her wedding ceremony. It has also been an integral part of religious ceremonies throughout the world, often associated with childbirth, rites of passage, spiritual offerings for victory, luck, joy, special adornment or to prepare a body for burial.
Artist Robin Jaeckel holds a degree in Arts Administration and a passion for the art form of mehendi or henna painting. She is certified through the ICNHA (International Certification of Natural Henna Artists).

She’s a Dramatic Poetess, writer, theatre & film actress, Emcee, radio on-air personality, voice-over actress, entertainer producer; the Founder of CSWA (Culture starts with ART!) , and the female CSWA artist group, SSS (Sistas Sayin’ Somethin’), and a promoter.
Kinbaku Demo
Patrick/Methen has been practicing self-bondage for over 20 years. In the BDSM scene since 2007, he attended his first rope class at Black Rose and has been influenced by Lew Rubens, Lochai and Jay Wiseman. He has studied the art of Kinbaku (also known as Shibari) and now does demos of self-bondage, suspension and Kinbaku for friends and local BDSM groups. Patrick/Methen is the leader of the Rochester Kinbaku Society. The Rochester Kinbaku Society meets regularly to practice the art of decorative bondage for photography and sensual pleasure, as well as more sadistic types of bondage.
